Leith Cycle Co has a large fleet of hire bikes available. Our hire bikes include town and country hybrid bikes with pannier racks, Ebikes to take you further, road bikes for the speedy ones. We also have trailers, tag'a'longs and child seasts.
Each bike is serviced after every hire so you can be assured you are sitting on a reliable bit of kit.
Our hire package includes, other than your bike, a helmet, should you need one, a lock to keep your bike secure whilst you are quaffing cake in the cafe, and a puncture repair kit just in case.
Edinburgh is an amazing city to cycle round with a fantastic network of cycle paths and endless countryside only a short ride away. On road, off road, traffic free, hilly or flat, you name it Edinburgh has it!

To reserve a bike/s you will need to provide the following information over the phone or by e-mail:
Name / phone number / email
Conformation of the type of bike you require. Standard / e-bike
The dates you need the bike/s
The heights of the riders
An e-mail from you confirming that you wish to reserve the bike/s
We do not do half days. The first days hire is the minimum charge regardless of the duration.
We can accept cash.
To hire a bike you will need to have the following:
Proof of I.D.
The means with which to leave a deposit of £100 or £200.
A physical debit or credit card.
We provide locks, rolling repair kits, phone holders, helmets and a map if needed.
Bikes cannot be left locked outside overnight. You will need a secure indoor space if you are keeping a bike over night.
Deposits will be refunded in full at the end of the hire if no charges are incured.
Payment will be made separately in full at the end of the hire period.
E-bike info:
Max speed 15 mph
Mileage 50 to 70 miles. (bike dependent)
Batteries are removable.
We provide chargers with the e-bikes
Unless you are on a guided ride, it is your responsibility to repair any punctures and to return your bike at the agreed time. We may not be able to come out and get you. Please let us know if you have used a tube so that we can replace it.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are happy with the condition and function of your bike before you head off on your ride.
